Our Story
Gary Denick
(Bass Guitar, Vocals)
Gary was born on Christmas Eve and grew up listening to what we now know as classic rock. Only it wasn’t classic rock at the time. It was the music that shaped a generation and captured Gary’s imagination, fueled his dreams and motivated him to learn to play the guitar. He has been playing the guitar and bass for better than thirty five years and is now the bass player in Shortness Of Breath. “I’ve played in many bands over the years but this one is special. There is a unique mix of personality, work ethic and chemistry that makes this musical project a joy,” says Gary.
Tedd Steele
(Drums, Percussions, Vocals)
Growing up in northern Delaware, Tedd has been playing drums for over
thirty years and was influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower and Billy
Cobham, to name a few artists. Tedd has a variety of styles that make up his
ever-changing repertoire. Playing for the Tom Larsen Blues band, Madison
Drive and Neavills Creek band in northern Virginia, he's adept at almost every
genre of music. Calling Linden, Virginia his home now after traveling the USA,
Tedd is “back in the groove” and doesn't hesitate at the chance to jam!
Ian Moon
(Guitar, Lead Vocals)
Ian grew up in Spokane, Washington on the great music of the 60's and 70's. After starting out playing the violin at the age of 9, Ian switch to guitar at 14 when his older sister gave it up and gave him her Classical Sigma 6 String. Over the past 25+ years Ian has lived in numerous places and has played his guitars with many great musicians along the way, including Sundance, Daybreak, and Over-Bored. He has since settled down and now calls Warren County, VA home. “Being a part Shortness Of Breath has resurrected my love of music. Fate has had a hand in forming this unique group of musicians. We are all from different times and places and yet we find ourselves here at the same time looking to re-join the scene “
